The Mutsu apple, which is also known as the Crispin. This apple, introduced in Japan in 1949, is a cross between a Golden Delicious and Indo apple. The Mutsu is a medium to large green apple with flesh varying in color from white to greenish yellow. It can be round, conical, or oblong, and have unequal sides. It is generally not uniform in shape or size. These apples are aromatic, sweet, and sharp, with a juicy flesh. They are suitable for eating, juicing, dehydrating, cooking and baking. The Matsu apples can be kept for up to three months in the refrigerator.
